While I love a good Guacamole, sometimes I want a dip that’s a little more substantial and chunky. That’s where this Avocado Salsa comes in.

This dip is the perfect accompaniment for chips and veggies, but I also love it over Rice and Beans, Tacos, or even Salads! It’s packed with flavor, but you only need 6 simple ingredients to make it. And did I mention it comes together in less than 10 minutes?!

All you need to do is chop your Veggies, fold in some Avocado chunks, and add a little Cumin + Lime for a kick of (mouth-watering) flavor. You can eat this Avocado Salsa as soon as you make it, but I find that letting it sit in the fridge for 10-20 minutes really allows the flavors to mingle and become more pronounced.

Easy Avocado Salsa (7 Ingredients!)

Step aside, guacamole! This Avocado Salsa is chunky, healthy, and flavorful. Plus, you only need 7 affordable ingredients to make it!

  • Author: Caitlin Shoemaker
  • Prep Time: 10 Minutes
  • Cook Time: 0 Minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 3-4 Servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Small Red Onion, finely diced
  • 1 Jalapeño, seeds removed and finely diced
  • ¼ cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 cup Grape Tomatoes, sliced (or any other Tomato you have on hand)
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • Zest + Juice of 1 Lime
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 Avocados, cut into small cubes

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients, except for the Avocado, to a medium bowl. Mix well. Add additional Salt to taste, if necessary.
  2. Gently fold in the Avocado, and serve as desired.

Notes

  • I like to let this Salsa sit in the fridge for 10-20 minutes before serving, to allow the flavors to mingle
  • Leftovers will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days – the Avocado may turn a little brown, but will still taste okay!
