These Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles are a sweet & refreshing treat! Made with only 4 healthy ingredients, they’ll keep you cool without weighing you down.

Would you believe me if I told you that I eat Peanut Butter every single day?

I’m wholeheartedly in love with that creamy, salty, high-protein (and cost-effective!) spread, and I’m not ashamed to say it. I put it in my granola, drizzle it on brownies, and even use it in savory cooking.

Today,  we’re keeping things light, fresh, and cool with these 4 ingredient Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles.

3 peanut butter popsicles with ripe bananas and bowl of peanut butter

This recipe is easy, budget-friendly, and most importantly, downright delicious.

All you’ll need is some:

  • Fresh (or Frozen) Bananas
  • Natural Peanut Butter
  • Non-dairy Milk, and
  • Maple Syrup

Process everything in a blender until smooth and creamy, then pour into popsicle molds and freeze until firm. That’s it!

Popsicles definitely make me think of warmer weather, but this recipe is perfect for any time of year. I promise that you’re going to love these peanut butter banana popsicles, whether you’re a kid or an adult! Speaking of which, this would be the perfect recipe to make with your little helpers in the kitchen 🙂

These popsicles are creamy, smooth, and oh-so satisfying. It’s crazy how the combination of 4 healthy ingredients can make that happen, but hey – I’m not going to complain!

A Few Final Thoughts:

  • Flavor Variations: replace the peanut butter with another nut/seed butter of your choice for a fun twist! You can also add in some cinnamon, cacao powder, or replace some of the nut milk with coffee if you’re feeling adventurous.
  • Popsicle Molds: I prefer to use a silicone-based mold (over hard plastic) because it’s much easier to stretch (and remove the popsicles) once they’re frozen. This is the one I have, but any will do.
  • On Freezing: try to store your popsicles on a flat, even surface in your freezer so they don’t get wonky. You can take these out and enjoy in as little as 6 hours, but I would recommend freezing overnight for best results.

Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles

These Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles are a sweet & refreshing treat! Made with only 4 healthy ingredients, they’ll keep you cool without weighing you down.

  • Author: Caitlin Shoemaker
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 0 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 8 popsicles 1x
  • Category: Dessert
  • Method: Freezer
  • Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas*
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup, plus more to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and process until smooth. Taste the batter and add any extra maple syrup if necessary (note that the popsicles will taste much less sweet once frozen).
  2. Pour the blended mixture into your popsicle mold, leaving a little room at the top of each mold to allow the liquid to expand. Place in the freezer for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Let the popsicles sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before you remove them from the mold. It also helps to carefully run some room temperature water around the outside of the mold, to soften the outermost layer of the popsicle. Leftovers will keep in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to one month

Notes

  • On Bananas: make sure they are as brown and spotty as possible (think banana bread bananas) in order to get the best flavor! You can also use frozen bananas for this recipe, but it will be harder to blend the mixture together if you don’t have a high-speed blender.
  • Flavor Variations: replace the peanut butter with another nut/seed butter of your choice for a fun twist! You can also add in some cinnamon, cacao powder, or replace some of the nut milk with coffee if you’re feeling adventurous.
